Weekday Mass Times 9:15am Tuesday - Saturday Weekend Mass Times 6:00pm Saturday Vigil and 9:30am Sunday The Holy Eucharist stands as the "source and summit of the Christian life," containing the entire spiritual good of the Church, which is Christ Himself, our Pasch. Instituted by Jesus at the Last Supper, this sacrament perpetuates the sacrifice of the Cross throughout the ages, making present his Body and Blood under the appearances of bread and wine through the power of the Holy Spirit and the ministry of the priest. In receiving the Eucharist, we partake in Christ's sacrifice, uniting ourselves with him and receiving the pledge of eternal life.
At Sacred Heart Parish, we joyfully prepare children to receive their First Holy Communion. Children attending Sacred Heart school will undertake their preparation through the school program. For children outside the school who wish to make their First Eucharist, typically in Grade 4 or older, we invite you to contact the parish office or speak with the parish priest. The parish provides dedicated preparation sessions to guide them toward this sacred encounter with the Lord. Please note that, generally, this sacrament is not received in the same year as the Sacrament of Confirmation, unless special circumstances apply.
